My refund was rejected (my parents claimed me as a dependent even though I am independent). How do I get my fees paid to Intuit refunded?

The fees are to prepare the return whether you efile or print and mail.  You can still mail your return to claim yourself.

If your income is from  wages,  self employment, and/or taxable scholarship (that is you have little or no unearned income),  and are under 24, you will usually pay the same tax, or get the same income  refund, whether you you claim yourself or not, under the new (2018) tax law.

Print your return and mail it in.  Your Turbotax fees cover preparation and e-filing, and e-filing is never guaranteed because it's not under control of Turbotax.  You still got the preparation services.

Be careful that you really can't be claimed as a dependent; unless you are claiming certain education credits, checking or not checking the "I can be claimed as a dependent" box won't change your tax return but could really mess up your parents return.  The IRS will investigate you and your parents to see who is correct.
