I filed my 2021 taxes in January 26, 2022. I received a confirmation that my $1,131 refund was accepted by both the state and feds within 2 days of filling. Then 3 weeks go by, then 4, then 5, then almost 6 weeks. I finally get an email from TurboTax stating that my refund will be directly deposited within 24-48 hours. I check my account and see a deposit from "TPG Products" for $178 on March 4th. Not knowing who "TPG Products" is I googled... Come to find out it's a 3rd party company that TurboTax hired to distribute refunds to their customers. I paid Turbo Tax $172 to file my taxes and I barely got that back...... NOT TO MENTION... I am missing $781 from my original APPROVED $1,131 return. I have no offsets and the amount was approved, so what's the explanation?! I emailed and called TPG multiple times to figure out where the rest of my refund is... No response.... Emailed and called TurboTax... No response. Now I see THOUSANDS of people dealing with the same issue. WHAT IS HAPPENING???! I have used TurboTax for years and have never had an issue until this year. I will definitely not be returning next year.

Why is my direct-deposited refund or check lower than the amount in TurboTax?
Why is My Tax Refund Not What I Expected
The third Economic Impact Payment of $1400 per person was sent out in March of 2021. The IRS may be saying you got it and are asking for it again on you return.
As stated in my post, I do not have an offset. The amount posted on IRS.gov matches the $1,131 as stated. There is no excuse for TurboTax or TPG Products for holding my money. My refund is not "$35 or $40 less than expected. It is $781 less, including the deduction of what I have already received as well as the Turbo Tax fees. Please put me in contact with someone that can deposit actual refund.
