After my latest update (I was just in Turbotax 2 days ago), all my files and folders are gone, going back 15 years. I've always used the desktop version and everything WAS working fine 2 days ago. I can find the program in my external hard drive but that was updated 2 months ago so most of my data that I had entered is gone. I've done searches on Windows Explorer and nada!! Where the heck did they go and why??

Unfortunately, we do not have access to your returns due to privacy and security reasons. Everything must be saved on your operating system because you used the desktop version. If that data is lost due to a Windows update, there is not another way to get it back. You can reach out to Windows/Microsoft support; they might be able to assist (1-800-642-7676).

It wasn't a Windows update that caused this problem, it was a Turbotax update
The TurboTax update cannot remove or delete files for any other years. The latest update was only for the particular tax year, and it was within the software.
I just update my Turbo Tax and the Turbo Tax folder is now empty - All my *.tax files and pdf copies are gone!!! I have searched my computer and its all gone!!
