Turbo Tax does not correctly calculate the standard deduction for Minnesota state taxes. The standard deduction in Minnesota is reduced, via formula, for higher income individuals. Your software failed to calculate the correct standard deduction for my Minnesota state tax filing for two consecutive years, 2019 and 2020, as I've just been informed by the state of Minnesota. I owe $1000, although fortunately MN is not charging a penalty. That said, I expect the software to calculate correctly or I haven't gotten value for what I paid for. This calculation needs to be corrected. I expect I'll experience the same problem with my 2021 Minnesota state taxes.

@mdmazza - so this is interesting -I'll save you the trouble of reading @SweetieJean's much appreciated links and summarize
Turbo Tax software was programmed correctly as it followed MN instructions.
but MN instructions theselves were incorrectly published!!!
That is probably why there is no penalty or interest - MN itself admitted its error, which they fixed for the 2021 tax return season.
