I'm not in Massachusetts so I don't know if they're sending "accepted" information back to TurboTax. However, if the DOR website says it was received on or after the date & time you transmitted it, that is more definite than TurboTax. (If they received it *before* you transmitted it, contact DOR to make sure you're not a refund fraud victim.)

As far as refund issuance, I do know that many states are taking much longer with refunds this year in an effort to catch refund fraud. (My own state, Arkansas, added a message to the results on its Where's My Refund site warning taxpayers of this delay.) Generally, you should always allow 3 weeks for any refund from an e-filed return, longer for Federal returns claiming EITC or ACTC (which won't be released till mid- to late February).

Hi Thanks for the Info, yes i am aware of the Federal refund delays, my state of Mass just says most refunds within 21 days or less but also states allow 4 - 6 weeks for efile. It just aggravates me that their is never a clear answer for anyone. The dates keep changing ect. I read a bunch of answers on turbo tax and as i understood just like you if you claimed the EIC and or ACTC No refunds would be released before feb 15th but i see that people are claiming they already have refund dd dates before the 15th how is this even possible if its a federal law? Are there exceptions im not aware of? Also i was curious if the state is going to show me a date or update so i dont have to keep checking my bank.. thanks

The people who have direct deposit dates before the 15th are *NOT* claiming EITC or ACTC. Refunds from those returns are NOT affected by the new law.

As far as refund timing, neither the IRS nor states will guarantee specific dates; every return must be individually reviewed before a refund can be issued. Intuit has no control over this process. Most states, just like the IRS, periodically post direct deposit dates on their Where's My Refund sites (though I can't say for certain about Massachusetts). It's only been 2 weeks or so; give them another week at least.
