Maintaining a second tax return. Is it possible to print the word "COPY" on every page of the return.

No, it is not possible to add the word "Copy" on a tax return using TurboTax. You would have to manually enter it on the tax return after printing the return.
You can save the 2nd copy with a unique file name. Click on File and then on Save As...
maybe. some printers do have that option
for mine after opening either the tax return or PDF to print
and selecting what to print
my printer dialog window opens
from there I choose the properties link
then the advanced tab
then the watermark icon (mine actually says copy)
check to use watermark
choose which watermark (copy, confidential, draft)
select every page
there are additional options for where to place the watermark and its density -
not all printers have this option.
Cool idea....looked around several place on mine, and the printer properties didn't have that option (HP 4400 series).
Another option:
Use whatever software you have for creating documents. Print a bunch of mostly blank sheets with "Copy" at the top of them as high up as it will print....outline font perhaps? (my MS Word has one). Then reuse the sheets to print out your actual tax files.
