Last year I created an amended version of my 2017 taxes, but I did not file it. Now I can only access that version. How do I download a copy of what I filed?

Did you use Online TurboTax, and are you asking how to get a copy of your originally-filed 2017 return before you started amending?

Online TurboTax does not keep 2 different copies of your 2017 return.   If you amended it, then that is the only copy.

It's recommended to make a backup copy of the original return before amending.  But if you did not do that, then unfortunately, the amended return is what is saved in your account.

You can get a free tax return transcript from the IRS.  You may be able to immediately download a 2017 return transcript at this IRS website at the link below.  If you don't qualify to open a free IRS account there, you can order one to come by postal mail, which normally takes 5-10 calendar days.

A full copy of the actual return from the IRS costs $50 and takes several weeks.
