You are visiting this service because you received an IRS 5071C letter. The Identity Verification Service currently is supported by our telephone customer service representatives. If you received the 5071C letter, please have this letter with you and call: 800-830-5084. The IRS needs more information from you to process your tax return accurately. You will be asked a series of questions about your identity and tax return history.

If you have not received a 5071C letter (or if you have other questions about your tax return), continue on to the IRS homepage.
