What is "it" that says the return was not filed? If your friend prepared your 2023 tax return, did your friend provide you with a printed copy of the return? Did your friend use online TurboTax or did your friend use desktop software on their own computer? Did they tell you the exact amount from line 35a of your Form 1040? Is that the amount you are using when you look on the IRS refund site?
