I need to skp inputting an SSN for my wife and print my return (I'll file for an ITIN shortly, but TT won't let me skip it

It's not possible to print an incomplete return.

Without an ITIN number generated to enter for such, your spouse can't file..."yet".

However, what you CAN do is file Married Filing Separately...for "now".

Once your spouse gets their ITIN (https://www.irs.gov/individuals/general-itin-information), "then" file an amended return as Married Filing Jointly.

Rule of thumb: You've got three years to file/amend a return if YOU are getting money back. If you owe the government, they have until the end of time for you to file.
