IRS says the amended tax refund has been completed 3 days ago, but actually not received

I received a notice from IRS that my amended tax return has been approved and i should receive my return in 2-3 weeks. Today I query the status from IRS website and it says the refund has completed 3 days ago and I 'should have received the refund'. But actually, I don't receive anything. Does anyone know this situation and tells how long will the money appears in my bank account? Thanks so much.

It may still be enroute, Refunds for amended returns are made only by a check mailed to you. The IRS uses bulk mail, which is slower than First Class.

Still nothing in the mail. received on 3/30 then adjusted on 4/24 and completed on 5/15.  Today is 5/26, how long i still need to wait? .....

I spent 7 hours waiting in Irs office last Friday  and they told me the refund was cancelled for no reason after all the release process been finished. They are trying to correct this mistake so I have to wait another 30 days.

What happened after you waited at the IRS office and then waited the 30 days?  Did they fix the error?  Seems as though I need to go thru the same process and I am wondering if this is the only way to resolve this matter.  Called the IRS and after waiting 1 hour the rep said he does not see a refund that is scheduled.  So he transferred me to another department (collections) and they had no information because I am not in collections, that rep transferred me back to account management which is another wait for an hour.  That is what I am doing now.... waiting once again.   Should I just drive to a local IRS office?

I just received my refund yesterday, finally! Half a year after I made the application! ... I tell you what I did: after 30 days I mentioned in last answer, I went on IRS office again. They spent half an hour checking my case and told me they had nothing to do with my refund because they had already passed my case but the 'fanatical department' was still investigating my account so I would not see the money until it is done. I followed the suggestion of irs officer to raise a '911' tax case, which is handled by a 3rd party organization for taxpayers. You could find the instructions of this '911' from irs and the service is free. Then I just submitted a form to them and they accepted my case. I provided some documents, it took about another 2 months to finally receive the refund .

Mine was received 5/1/2017, adjusted on 6/16/2017 and I Received my refund check today!!! Tuesday, 6/20/2017!!!! Good luck to everyone else!!!! I posted because I have been trying to figure out when I would receive it. I called the IRS yesterday and they told me my check was mailed the same day it was adjusted, which was a Friday, so I am not sure that being a Friday had anything to do with it. I know some people say the IRS sends out checks every Friday, but either way I Received my refund today, Tuesday. Call the IRS and select options where you are forced to speak with a live person. The woman I spoke with was extremely nice and I was only on hold for less than 5 mins. If you selected the option "Are you calling about the status on an amended return?" It will automatically transfer to their hotline and you will not get to a live representative. I selected the option having questions about a tax payment or whatever to get to a live person, so I could confirm the date my check was mailed out. She told me the 16th, but told me to wait 2 weeks (called 6/19/2017), but the next day (6/20/2017) I received it.
