Is there a different IRS number to talk to a human other than 1-800-829-1040]? It's been over a year and I don't have my refund and the 'where's my refund' has no info.

Did you efile 2020?  Was it Accepted?  Or did you mail it?  Mailed returns are taking a long time and are still being processed.

Maybe you didn't finish filing it or it Rejected.  When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  what does it say?

Then when you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepte.d or Rejected your efile.  Check back though your emails if you have them.

As far as I know there is no other number to call

The only other place to call would be your local Tax Advocate line. I hope that helps a little bit!

Cheers!

you can call this number 800 -- 829 -- 0922.

But there is no point.

They will just tell you there is a big backlog , and you should wait some more time.
