Is stimulus delay common for us who filed in early March 2021?

I keep seeing that each week, many are getting their checks / direct deps. Our situation was pretty normal where we got the first and second ones within the first week or two. We made more in 2019 than 2020 naturally but both years under the required threshold for the full amount. But we filed 2020 taxes through Turbo Tax on 3/6/21. The stimulus was approved on 3/11/21. Would that be why they still haven't scheduled our payment? I wonder if we would have been paid early on had we waited til April to file 2020.

Are others on here still waiting as well who happened to file a bit too early? While the GET MY PAYMENT tool has always said 'you qualify, we'll update with a date when we have it' type info and it has our correct bank last 4x they have already used and TT uses. But since they seem to now be on the 'hard cases' if you read the news updates of each week who got paid, we're not a hard case. So why the delay? This is the only thing I can think of is about b/c we had just filed the recent year, and wondered if others on TT are in the same boat and can confirm that may be the only issue. (As they continue to process 2020.)  We aren't getting  refund on 2020. We applied all of it to 2021 estimated taxes. So I can't tell if we've been 'processed'. We got the Jan one within days of approval of the package to that same account.   So I was expecting this recent one to be pretty quick too.  Any insights?

It's possible you are stuck in the processing "pipeline".

If you applied all to 2021, then you have no refund and you will not have any "Where's my refund" status.

If your 2020 AGI was less than before, then you are still eligible for EIP3 and should receive it sooner or later.

Next time be smarter and leave a refund of $100.

Do you mean leave a refund of $100 just so it's trackable with when they processed the return itself? I've never cared before. It's never really mattered (and we always owe estimated taxes April 15th so it was nice to have it lowered. Never occurred to me it would affect timing of the stimulus. If I'd know that was possible we would have just waited to file til after we got the $1400 each. 🙂
