Is it true taxes are to be filed after feb 15 with dependents? If so what happens if you filed already?

If you already filed, you don't need to do anything now. IRS will delay processing returns with some child related credits until 15 February.

Oh ok, but this doesn’t affect in any way good or bad the return or credit you received?

Correct - Only timing is affected.
