Is it 2024 Amend Software Bug

I am preparing Amend for 2024 because need to remove dependent income reported in 8814 so dependent can report in her own tax return which required due to 1099-B reported by stock broker without basis.

Why TT is showing Fed Due when my Summary page says NET income and tax reduced?

Here is final summary page on TT.

Is it 2024 Amend Software Bug

Alright,

I went to Top right corner and clicked Forms.

Reviewed the1040-X and found serious issues in data transfer from Original return section Column A.

I edited manually all to match with original numbers from 2024 year return.

Now Meter shows $0.

Now, I came back to income section and removed 8814.

Now TT is coming right with the Returns I expected. TaxAudit person and TT Experts I talked on the phone also expected the return based on the situation.

Turbotax team this is serious BUG and caused me many hours of working and worried. Please spend some extra time in testing Amend section.

Is it 2024 Amend Software Bug

I have updated the 2024 Software version and it is still generating 1040X (Rev. February 2024).

IRS site has Rev. December 2025).

Why is the TT 2024 Amend showing Fed Due As soon as you start the Amend process. I have not edited the 2024 tax return so it should be $0, even help says on the screen. I called TT help for 100% calc guarantee and did not get much help. They really needs to show all calculations so we can debug the issue overselves.

Is it 2024 Amend Software Bug

Another Proof of clear BUG in TT 2024 Amend feature of the software..

It clearly says No difference detected because I internally did not make any change to check what software will does at the end. This initial Fed Due is causing my return due even though I am suppose to be eligible for return because I am removing dependent reported income in my tax return. I hope TT is reviewing this thread and address the issue ASAP. I appreciate the hard work development team puts to make the software great.

Error in final page.. Print Return button generates PDF with wrong data. This same errors and wrong data generated when I removed dependent income which is what I want to do. I did this test just to catch the bug.

Press Save Return and I get following error.

I think Turbotax team should pay me for the software testing.
