Not sure where you saw that 5 days earlier nonsense but once the IRS releases the funds it goes to the refund processing bank where the TT fees are withheld then it is sent to Karma for posting to your account. Each bank can take as many as 3 business days to post and/or forward the funds so it could take 5 extra days to process the refund. The old saying applies ... don't spend it until you get it and you will not be disappointed.
Unlike the person below, who, more so reprimand you for asking about your money than giving a helpful answer.. imma give it to you straight. Basically if you get a refund advance, or paid for your tax preparation from your federal refund, you don't have the option of the five days early situation. Last year, I literally got it the day of... That NEVER happened until I started using credit karma.. it's misleading.. And basically if you get the advance, it seems like you get punished by not receiving it early like everyone else🤣🤣🤣🤣🙄🙄or appears
OK ... let's all read the fine print in the marketing info put out ... as they say the devil is in the details ...
Definitely misleading and false advertisement. It’s send to TT, TT sends to CK so they can get Advance, CK sends back to TT for TT to send back to CK or your bank. A lot of unnecessary back and forth between the banks. This is my first time using CK and I will never ever use them again. Last year I used the Turbo Tax debit card and got my refund on the 18th with a DDD on my transcript that said 2/24 so like 6 days early. I’m definitely going back to using the TT debit card!
