If you have already filed your return, then you will need to wait. This is because if your return is rejected for not having all of the information then you will be able to go back into your return and make changes. You should also wait in case your return is accepted as the IRS may adjust your return already or may give you your refund based on your first return and then you can amend it. If you have not e-filed your return then you can sign back into your account and make the necessary changes. If you e-filed I would hold off a bit, as since many state returns do not have all their forms certified, many people may have filed their Federal return and have access to go back in and change numbers. However, your changes will not be e-filed as your original information is out the door an in a server. This will cause more problems if you try to amend your federal return as well later. It will also cause issues for state returns you may not have filed.
