If i used my wire transfers routing number instead of the direct deposit one can i still get my money?

If you enter an account and the number doesn't pass the IRS's validation check, 

the IRS will send you a paper check for the entire refund instead of a direct deposit.

Generally this just happens automatically and there is no notification.
