If I filed with turbo tax will I get a stimulus check direct deposited in my bank account still?

You sir, thank you! Thank you for answering the question rather than "I don't know" or "We are waiting on the IRS" This shouldn't be as complicated as people are making it.

It does have a routing and bank account numbers for the Turbo Tax Cards so they should receive the stimulus as long as line 22a and b carry that routing and bank account number (You can check if you log into your TurboTax Card what your numbers are, they have it right on your main account page).

I still haven't received mine but here is hoping it will be soon...

I have seen that if u used turbo tax card u will not be able to receive ur stimulas in that account .. my question is when the tool comes available to put in ur direct deposit info can I use my daughters bank account to deposit it?

We don't have an answer to that yet. The IRS is setting up a portal for Taxpayers to update banking information and I think they will want to you use that and enter banking information for direct deposit rather than using a third party to put funds on a card. 

The IRS and TurboTax has a way for non-filers to register, but the IRS is also about to launch "Get My Payment" which will allow filers to change their banking information and check on the stimulus check.

When I call and talk to your own live agents they completely say 100 percent I will get my stimulus check on my turbo tax debit card so I'm not sure why all you agents on here say something completely different.  It's very irritating to say the least to be told do nothing you'll get it then online something seperate.

Found this on irs.com so if payment doesn't end up going on our cards, we'll be able to change our bank account info next Friday.

I did my taxes through TurboTax as usual and has my fees taken from my refund. Am I going to get my stimilus direct to my account from the IRS or I it going to TurboTax bank first then they send to me? I didn't even think about this. All I kept thinking was I get DD for refund but not that it's though a third party so praying this doesn't slow it down. I'm out of work and about to run out of food and diapers for my daughter. I can't wait for it to go to their bank then mine. Hopefully someone has the answer

Well that doesn’t make sense because I clicked on the link provided to register and it tells me I’ve already sent my info to the IRS and the website on the IRS site says don’t use if you’ve already files . Just say yes or no so we can be expecting checks in the mail if it is not going to the turbotax card because that’s what I have.

I don't have a turbo card or whatever it's called. I get my refund DD through TurboTax but because I don't pay the fee upfront my refund goes to their bank and then their bank sends it to me minus fees. That's why I'm wondering how my stimilus will work, them first n then to me or directly to me

I filed w/ Turbotax and had my refund deposited into my bank account. I had my Turbotax fees taken out of my refund so my direct deposit went to TT first then they forwarded the remaining amount of my refund to my bank account.

I assumed my stimulus payment would take the same detour, HOWEVER, I just verified the direct deposit information at the bottom of my 2019 tax return and it is my bank account information and not Turbotax's. 

 I would recommend checking your most recent tax return and verifying whether that direct deposit information is yours or Turbotax's. With all of that being said, I'm assuming my stimulus payment will go directly to my bank instead of TT.

My assumption is that if you had your tax refund deposited onto a Turbotax card that is more than likely where your stimulus check will go because when your return was filed, the IRS was given the account # and routing # that corresponds to your prepaid Turbotax card. 

Today (4/10/20) the IRS launched a web tool for *NON-FILERS* to update their payment information for the stimulus check:

For those of us who have already filed 2018 and/or 2019 returns, they are working on a "Get Payment" tool for us to use: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments

"Use the "Get My Payment" application (coming mid-April) to:

• Check your payment status
• Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
• Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if we don't have  your direct deposit information and we haven't sent your payment yet"

**Based on my own information, I am also assuming that if you filed your return and elected to have the Turbotax fees deducted directly from your tax refund and the remaining amount sent to your personal bank account then your stimulus payment will go directly to your bank account. Although Turbotax intercepted my refund to deduct their fees, I have reviewed the PDF file of my 2019 tax return and the direct deposit information listed is the account # and routing # of my personal checking account and NOT the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group  (SBTPG) account that Turbotax uses to deduct the fees and issue the refunds.

If you check your tax return forms your checking account information is listed on there. I believe that is the banking information the IRS will use since it is on your tax form.
