Do you know how we're supposed to go about making sure they have our turbo tax card banking information? I've been looking at the IRS web page this morning and couldn't find anything that looked like what i needed. Or should they already have this information and us all be good and get our direct deposits like we should? I'm so confused about how it will work with our cards now, I wasn't at first but I am now.
Good advice. Thank you.
Who said no? Who are “they” ? Vague much? And why wouldn’t it go on the card? It has an account and routing number and is considered Green Dot bank?
So basically what i have learned from research. Everyone who got their refund or is going to get their refund on a turbo tax card is getting a stimulus check in the mail unless the Irs actually creates a web portal for people to enter direct deposit information from their bank. This hopefully will be done for all the tax filers so we dont have to wait months for a check just because we decided to use a green dot bank card. I hope they fix this egregious problem.
If your tax return has your personal bank information that was used to either receive a direct deposit of your refund or was used to pay your tax due then the IRS has your bank information to use for your direct deposit of your stimulus check.
So like I said previously my turbo card is on my 1040 for direct deposit so will I get it on the card yes or no and if not wat is the difference with this card than my green dot premium card
TurboTax has not received an answer from the IRS on this issue. "We are still waiting for IRS guidance regarding updating or providing direct deposit information for the stimulus payments and how they will be distributed to these type of accounts. We will have more information once the government finalizes the details. Yes, if your tax return has your personal bank information that was used to either receive a direct deposit of your refund or was used to pay your tax due then the IRS has your bank information to use for your direct deposit of your stimulus check.

This is from SBTPGs website. If you have a Turbo Tax card, you will be receiving a paper check. Hope this helps.
No. Not according to the bank Turbo Tax uses for its fees, etc. If you have a debit card issued by them you will receive a paper check.
Here's the link.
No it will not. According to the bank Turbo Tax uses to issue these cards and take the funds out, you will receive a paper check. Here's the link to the website. https://www.sbtpg.com/coronavirus-stimulus-payment-info/
If I have already filed my taxes will I still get a stimulus check
@Summesj @This isn’t correct. If you look at your 1040 on lines 21 B & D it has your turbo card green dot checking account number and touring number. There’s absolutely no reason why it will not go there. I don’t understand why people don’t get IT IS A LEGIT BANK ACCOUNT!!
on the app, it has direct deposit info to set up with your employer, etc. the numbers for a direct deposit match what the IRS has on my 2019 1040
it will go to this account.
I did some research and made some calls. As of now, if you used the turbo card for your tax return refund deposit the IRS does have that banking information. BUT you Will NOT receive your stimulus payment to that account. The turbo card is operated through green dot bank which is a 3rd party bank and because of that the stimulus payments can not be made to that account. The IRS is developing a tool for people to use that will allow them track their stimulus payment and update their banking information. This tool is suppose to be available through the IRS website on April 17th. If the banking information isnt updated then they will issue a paper check to you. Overall, if you have the turbo card like I do, you have to wait until the 17th to update your banking info or you'll have to wait for the paper check. I hope this helps all of you that had the same question I did regarding the stimulus payment and the turbo card.
