If i file an federal amended return can I change direct deposit information?

I need to file an amendment for my 2017 return and my refund has not been paid yet. I'd like to change my direct deposit info at that time. Is that possible?

No.  Not for the original return.  And not for the amended return either.  They only mail checks for amended returns. And you should not amend until the first return if fully processed and you get the first refund.  If the deposit info was wrong and the bank rejects it the IRS will mail a check to the address on your return.
