I also got a 4464c letter from the irs my return was a simple one filed single and now their checking me out ive never had a problem before in my life with my taxes why now

Hey guys i'm back...Called the IRS today and she states the hold was removed on Tuesday the 22sd of May even tho I called in the referral on Monday the 7th. Hopefully I will see a change in the next few weeks. She said that it can take up to 4-6 weeks which would be July 3rd. Ill check WMR this weekend to see if anything changes! Hello guys I called the irs on Monday because my 60 days were up on that day the guy said he was going to adjust my income cause my box two withholding wasn't matching and he was going to fixed it and it wont take the full 60 days so error was only one number wasn't right so he will put my tax return to the referral department so again I called too the irs on Friday to make sure the guy put the correct amount on my withholding it took a hour too get a person on line, it was a lady was on hold about seven minutes came back and said he did fixed it and send it to the referral department and she said to check on the WMR every other week well that's good news too hear, well anyways this weekend the system is down due too maintenance hopefully its a big update for everyone the system will be available on Tuesday at seven morning, Ill keep you all updated

Good Morning...So, it's Tuesday the 29th of May! Sense they had an update to the system yesterday I decided to check WMR this morning to see if there was any change and THERE WAS! I didn't have to wait every week like my transcripts lead me to believe...My WMR says approved with a DD date of June 1! Again, my 60 days were up May 7th, submitted the referral same day, released the hold May 22sd and the DD will be June 1st! Also they added INTEREST TO THE REFUND! I remember reading somewhere that they do if they hold your money and don't deliver it to you within the correct time frame it adds moooore guys! well this is all I have for now! I will check TPG and make sure that they received the money and then I will know for sure it will come! Thank you all for the support during this time and please try checking today also if the referral has been sent...you never know with the IRS! There was an extra $427 added, I think they changed any of my info because she said my income was verified accurate when I called so i'm positive it's interest because nothing was basically wrong with my taxes they just lost them...ok i'm done...

So frustrating.  My return was accepted Jan 25th (124 days ago)   under review since Feb 26th.  60 days were up on April 26th.  So it has been 33 days since then (93 days of review)   I called the it's this morning and spoke to the first helpful person in 5 months.   Although my return is still being processed and there is still no answer as to why or what information is being reviewed,  she explained that the department that was reviewing my return "got behind" and that they didn't meet the 60 day deadline that they set for completion.  The referral is just a reminder that I've been waiting and my time is up, but that they are given an additional 60 days to review.  If I haven't received any communication or refund by June 26th then to call back and have another referral and possibly another 60days.  Although there was a response to my referral on May 7th, they still have 4 more weeks to complete. If I don't complete my return and file by the deadline I am penalized, but if they don't meet deadlines that they set for themselves we have to just give more time, 60 days over and over again.

I also got good news on saturday, finally my WMR was updated to a DD of May 31st. now i am just waiting for May 31st to see if it is true. My 60 days were up on the 18th that is the same date i called the IRS, they send my referral and a week later my status change.. Hopefully we are all done with the waiting game. Best of luck i will update May 31st to see if it did go through. Thanks guys not being the only one waiting did help with the process having some support from you all!! 🙂

If anyone else had a DD date show on WMR did you get the refund on that date or a few days after? I remember one of you guys had a date of the 30th or 31st?

@nenaputrice i had my DD for the 31st and i did in fact got my refund this morning. it said i had till June the 5th but it was right on the date.

still waiting.   my second 60 day review period is up on June 26th, the reason i was given was that they "got behind".   When i asked what happens if i receive no correspondence by then?  the lady said to call back on the 26th and we will investigate ...  probably another 60 day wait for that too.   this is ridiculous, i filed january 25th and still no word or notice from the irs since february except to keep waiting.
