If your friend prepared your tax returns, you need the exact account and user ID that were used in order to look at information on the TurboTax site. Ask your friend for that information, or get your friend to print out your returns for you. As for what happened to your refunds----TurboTax never receives any updates after a tax return has been filed and accepted by the IRS, so you will not find anything about whether the refunds were issued on the TT site. You can track your refunds on the IRS refund site if you know the exact amount of the refund, your own Social Security number, and your filing status (single, married....).
You can also check the IRS site for transcripts or for a fee, you can get copies of the returns from the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund on the IRS refund site:
