What day of the week does the IRS do direct deposits?

Right now, they issue refunds on Weds and Fridays. However, it can take your bank 1-5 days to record the deposit.

I have seen deposits every day of the week. Check the IRS site for the progress of your refund....

I think its everyday because some people have dd dates for Monday 2/8, Tuesday 2/9, and Wednesday 2/10

My husband and i dont share a bank account and he doesnt have one but turbotax still allowed me to put his refund in my account however its been since 2/9 and todays 2/15 and we're still waiting...do you think it will be in my account??

TT allows you to enter any routing & account number since they cannot possibly check to see it the number is correct or who is on the account ( that is way beyond the program's scope). So if he filed a separate return from you and his name is not on the bank account it is your bank that will reject the deposit, send it back to the IRS and then the refund will be converted to a mailed check to the address on the tax return.  This can add 3 weeks or more to the processing time.

You may want to call the IRS because they won't put money in a account if the other person's name is not on the acct may end up sending you a check

they'll put 2 refunds in 1 account even if there not on it

Yes I have made deposits to another person's account in the past.  No problems at all 🙂

Not now, as banks and the IRS are cracking down on  identity theft. Alss, any refund date that TT gives you is just an estimate.

you can get up to 3 deposits in one account and your name does not have to be on the account. i had mine sent to my brothers account and done got it

They issue your return on Wednesday and Fridays. A max of 21 days after your return is accepted. Its quicker to have your return direct deposit.
