I was working on amending last years return. Now it won’t let me pick up where I left off.

It was letting me use the browser on my phone and I got distracted and stopped using it and when I came back to it, it’s now saying I need to download my return on a desktop. Etc. 15 minutes ago a link was there and I could just click and revise…

Sorry---not sure what confused you, but you cannot prepare a 1040X on a phone now. It is too late. You need the desktop software.

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
