I was supposed to get $900 on my federal taxes and only got $600. It says tcs treas 449 on my direct deposit account and I want to know what is going on.

When you see the message TCS TREAS 449 on your refund, you should and need to call the Treasury Off Set to call 1-800-304-3107. The representatives will be able to advise you what the offset of your tax returns was for. The IRS will also send you a letter with an explanation.

I was supposed to get $978.00 on my federal taxes and only got $23.14.
