If you wish to cancel your e-filing of yourTurboTax Online tax
return, this cannot be done. Once it has been e-filed, the return has
been sent to the IRS and cannot be taken back. Wait for confirmation
from the IRS regarding whether the return has been accepted or rejected.
If you are concerned about the security of your information
on TurboTax Online, don’t be. Their information is completely secure
on our servers and can only be accessed by you using a unique User ID
and Password.
If you wish to remove your tax return from TurboTax Online and use
some other method of filing your tax return you can delete their information by following the
instructions below.
To clear your tax return from TurboTax Online:
- While in your TurboTax Online program (after clicking Continue your return)
- Select My Account,then click on Clear & start over
- On the Are you sure you want to clear your return? pop up screen, if you are sure about clearing all your entries and starting over, click Yes
- Then a new screen confirms you have cleared your entries, click Continue
- The Help us find the right TurboTax product for you screen shows the TurboTax Online products and features
- Select your new TurboTax Online product by clicking the Start for Free
