Where’s my refund says take action code 1541. It’s been that way since the 15th. Should I do anything or wait it out?

Thank god im so glad it changed for some of us however if you are still having that error be sure to know that if it was someone fraudulent or an actual error it won’t be the 1541 code hope that helps

I called today after my irs app updated to the "we are processing your return" from the code 1541. This does not mean our return is approved. They still have to review it and approve it. HOPEFULLY it's a fast process. But 8 called twice today March 1st and both reps said up to 45 days IF nothing is wrong. If something is wrong and they need more information then it can be even longer. So nothing is done until you get an approval and/or the money is in your account.

No one said that meant we are approved but we aren't DELAYED anymore. Now it is being processed so we should get approved & receive a date soon. Those are REPS at the IRS they're telling you what they are being told to tell you.

Get approved if nothing is wrong. They're reviewing our taxes to make sure it's all correct. Something triggered us to be on this list. It's not just necessarily "random" or "delayed" like they're saying. And the 6 different "reps" I spoke to were the IRS and all said the same exact thing. Best thing to do is call. I hope its quick and easy like what you're saying but every person at the irs I spoke to told me the exact same thing which is they are reviewing our taxes to make sure everything is correct and that it can take up to mid April IF nothing is wrong. It can take up to months longer if they find anything wrong or innacurate information and we need to amend it.

And like I said the "reps" told that to plenty of people who got their money back or a date already that had the same codes. And plenty of people also called and got 3 different answers in one day lol... Oh well, I'm just trying to put everyone at ease and inform them they are all not under review.

Well I JUST got my money deposited and the WMR didn't update to a date. I had the 1541 then your refund is processing message & now my deposit just hit! Check your banks! It's coming guys!

I almost did! Haha I was screaming and my husband was like "WTH is going on" lol but at least you guys know IT IS coming!! I would expect it by the 4th. Praying for y'all!
