I submitted my w4 with one number wrong on social security number. Now My w2 is wrong. Do I have to pay my employer to amend it?

You should first request a corrected W-2 from your employer. He may request proof of your correct Social Security Number before making the change.

Legally, your employer may charge a fee to reissue a W-2 form. This fee is generally around $10.
