The name on your tax return and the name on the W-2 do not have to match. Only the Social Security numbers have to be the same.
Did you file the tax using the name that is on on your current Social Security card? If so, then the IRS will not have an issue with your name or SS number.
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

Yes, I updated my name change with SS, but did not think to check my W2. How long will it take to process my return? Is there a standard under these circumstances? I have seen 9mos?!?
No there is no standard for how long the IRS can process a tax return under any circumstances. You just need to be patient, check your refund status at least weekly and respond to any notice from the IRS either on the refund website or in the mail.
