No one in this user community forum can fully understand your situation unless you explain your story.   But this is a public Internet forum, so don't post any personal information.

      What does that mean?    Who is the "it" that said that, and who is the "they?"    Did you speak to the IRS?  Or did you get a letter/notice from the IRS?

If you efiled your Federal return and it was accepted, or if you mailed your Federal return, what do you see when you look up your refund with the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool?  Is there any message there?

Agreeing with my colleague @mesquitebean , we need a lot more information from you so we can help you.  Please answer the questions raised by @mesquitebean .  Additionally ,  it would be nice to know if you have had any contacts with the IRS -- e.g. did they accept your return ( generally accepted, meaning accepted for processing)? When was that?  Did you try the  "Where is My Refund" at www.irs.gov ?  Should we assume that you are a US person ( citizen/GreenCard/ Resident for Tax purposes )  or NRA  ( this is because NRAs nned to file return on form 1040-NR  which is not supported by TurboTax) ?
