I have not filed my return through turbo tax and need to change my dependent status as my parents did not claim as a dependent as I originally thgought

You can do this by going back to the My Info section of TurboTax.  You should see the My Info option on the left side of the screen.  Once you select this, you should see your name listed.  Then select EDIT.  Scroll down to question 3 where it asks if you can be claimed as a dependent on someone else's return and change the answer to NO.  See the sample screenshot attached.
