I have filed my taxes and used 1098 that was given to me by my bank. I now have a corrected 1098 what should I do?

I have filed my taxes and used 1098 that was given to me by my bank. I now have a corrected 1098 what should I do?

If the form 1098 shows different numerical values (such as mortgage interest changed or mortgage insurance is added), you may want to amend your tax return to see if it changes your refund. If it does, please send the amended tax return to the IRS.  Here are amending instructions.

If the corrected form 1098 doesn't impact your refund/tax bill, there is no need to amend your tax return; just keep the 1098 corrected form with your records.
