February 22 was the expected date for tax form 8936 and now it’s March 1st? Is this date going to stick? Should everyone waiting just expect to file on April 15th?

TT is still waiting for the IRS to approve the TT form 8936 (programming).

How long will the approval take?   The updated 2017 8936 form has been on the IRS website since 2-23-18.

I’m switching to HR Block this weekend if TT cannot resolve the issues with THEIR software.  They apparently got IRS approval already

I have ditched TurboTax and switched to H&R Block. Completed entry today and federal and state returns have already been submitted and accepted. With 2 - $7,500 EV credits this year I was tired of waiting on TT and will not be back. Thank you H&R Block

The IRS only updated the form on 2/23/18.   Is H&R Block using the latest, updated form?

I'm about to switch also, i'm giving it one more week.  They did this to me last year with another form and delayed me longer than expected.

Feb 23, was the date the IRS published the paper 8936 and they still have not issued the electronic schema for the e-fileing of the form.

Why have others been successful in filing with H&R Block software?   TT needs to resolve this issue with THEIR software.   Update process is a dinosaur - especially for a form that has NOT CHANGED from 2016.  Giving you until this weekend.

I have been filed and accepted, both Fed and State since last Thursday after switching to H&R Block.   Got too frustrated with TT and they keep extending form 8936 even as of today!!!!
