I have changed my mind. I would not like payment taken from my refund and would prefer to pay it now from my checking account. How do I change this?

I want to change my payment before filing. I would prefer to pay now, and not have payment taken from my return. How do I change this?

Have you already completed your filing?  You will not be able to change this if you have transmitted your return.  If you have not, please see the instructions below on how to complete this change.  
 

1. With your return open, select File from the side menu and proceed to the Just a few steps left screen.
2. On this screen, select Start here or Revisit for the first step.
3. Choose Select Payment Method on the next screen, and then choose your payment method there.
