WHAT IS THE STATUS ON MY TAX RETURN

I have an email saying my return was accepted. when I check the status on the irs website it looks as if i never filed, WHY IS THAT

it can normally take 48 hours for the refund info to post after being accepted. however, if the IRS computers find issues, it could take much longer.
