No, you keep your original refund. If you entered on the amendment form that you received your original refund then the program will calculate the difference and it will show you will receive an additional refund or you owes taxes.
To add: Your original refund should show on line 18 of the IRS amendment form 1040X.
No. A amended return will show the difference that you will either receive as an additional refund or the amount that you might owe with the amended return. If you owe, then you pay only that amount with a new check or online payment.

An amended tax return, Form 1040X, can only be printed, signed, dated and mailed by you to the IRS, it cannot be e-filed. The IRS will take up to 4 months to process the amended tax return. Wait until you have received the tax refund or the taxes owed have been paid and processed by the IRS before amending the tax return.
On the Tax Home web page when the Form 1040X for amending a 2019 tax return becomes available there will be a link - Amend (change) return
See this TurvrboTax support FAQ for amending a 2019 tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-topics/help/how-do-i-amend-a-2019-return-in-turbotax/01/123845...
I had to file an amendment last year.
You keep the original refund. File an amended return and it will tell you how much you owe then set aside that amount until you get a bill from the IRS...send your check with the bill. I got a letter a few weeks after that saying I was paid in full.
Good luck. Hope everything goes well.
