I claimed a minor dependent on my 2019 taxes and received The  1st stimulus payment but did not receive my dependent payment for 2nd stimulus?

how old is this child as of 12/31/20? How much was the first check and how much was the 2nd check?

the first stimulus payment was based on either 2018 or 2019 tax return, which ever was available at the time the payment was made. Was your child 16 years old in 2018 (payment made) and 17 years old in 2019 (payment not made?)

the 2nd stimulus payment was based on 2019 tax return only.  

please answer my questions and should be able to figure it out! (and worse case, it'll be taken care of on the 2020 tax return)

You will be able to reconcile your stimulus payments when you file your 2020 return to get any payments due to you.
