Did you receive the Recovery Rebate Credit with your refund? If not, then you probably answered the question correctly when you prepared your return. While preparing your return you would have been asked if you received the Recovery Rebate Credit.
The Recovery Rebate Credit was with the review of the federal return. The screen would have told you the amount you were entitled to and then there would be a box where the amount you received was supposed to be entered. To get to this screen search for "Recovery Rebate Credit" then click on Jump To and it will take you to this screen.
No, I didn't get it with my refund because when I was filing my tax returns I was not aware if I had received any of the recovery rebate credit (as I did not get the document till after I submitted my taxes).
I tried using the search option but it never brings up the area I need, it just checks my form and says it's good and that I can move on. There is no option where I can put in the information, nor anything that says "Recovery Rebate Credit" or "Economic Impact Payment."
Does your Letter 6475 say that you received the Recovery Rebate Credit?
On your Form 1040 that was e-filed, did you have an amount on Line 30?
If you do not have an amount on Line 30, then you have nothing to worry about. Letter 6475 is an informational letter and if you do not have an amount on Line 30 then you answered the question correctly when you completed your original return.
If you still want to try and get back to the screen and you used TurboTax Online the screen for the Recovery Rebate Credit comes after the "Other Tax Situation" then "Let's Keep Going". The next screen will be the screen it says Let's double-check the amount you received.
I would just put the letter with your tax papers.
