I got a tax topic 151 which I know what that is but will they hold my entire refund or give me a partial that was not affected? The affected part I’m sure was my step son

The IRS will take the portion that you owe and send it to the person that you owe it to.  They will refund the rest to you.

Just a quick question. I got the 151bthing too... Did u have any unemployment on urs that u filed for? Because we did and I'm thinking that they r adjusting it to add the amount of taxes that were originally to be taxed. Since they are not being taxed now they will have to add that amount back on to our refunds. That would be an adjustment to them which is what 151 is an adjustment to ur refund. I just want to make sure that I'm right.

It has nothing to do with Trump.. it's called PATH. It comes from the Obama administration in 2015..If you claim a tax credit that you didn't in past tax returns. It's an automatic flag..
