I was cancelled for the 5 day early option as well. When I called turbo tax I was told my $25 was refunded back and that I still should get my refund on 2/24 which is my original date from the IRS website. I don’t understand how some ppl are getting checks when they opted for direct deposit. Some own screwed up and they are blaming the banks.. my sister used chime as she always does.. she logged onto turbo tax and it send her refund was sent 2/19 and her original date was as 2/24. Yesterday she logged onto turbo tax and a message popped up stating they mailed her a check instead of depositing it into her chime account. They told her chime denied.

Hey did your sister maybe make a mistake on her routing or account number for chime? I’m using chime and I have an IRS date for the 26th I haven’t gotten anything from TurboTax about any of that, when I look at my tax papers it has my routing and account number on there correctly, but they shouldn’t send a check if you opted for DD. I’m getting ready to contact TT myself now.
No she’s been using chime for years, she received her state return in her chime account but was told her federal couldn’t be deposited.
Wow that’s crazy and wrong. I really hope I don’t have that issue, another question did she get the email/notification before her deposit date or was it after her deposit date?
It was after, we both have dates for 2/24 and opted for the 5 day early and got cancelled .. I received my email 48 hours later telling me it was cancelled and that I would receive it on my original date of 2/24 . It’s been a roller coaster since then
I have a date of 2/24 and someone told me that my account declined the transfer and it’s the same bank I been using for a decade ! And the rep told me since they refused the refund I would get a check mailed , I called and spoke to another agent and they said oh the rep was incorrect it will be deposited on your ddd which is 2/24
They have given me 4/5 different answers I’m just going to see if it hits my account in the morning
Yes they emailed me Saturday after I already confirmed that my refund was sent 2/19 and on Saturday the automated email says I will get it on my scheduled day by direct deposit
My date is 2/24 so yes I’m hoping as well ! Just been getting all sorts of mixed answers
Sand thing I’ve been going through. Each person will tell you something different. I called 3 times lol and each person I spoke men with told me different things. It’s so frustrating because they should have said if we cannot direct deposit the 5 day then we would automatically send a check. I bet nobody would of signed up for that mess.. when I login into turbo tax it only says they counts expedite my refund and than I wouldn’t be charged the $25.0@ fee and 48 hours after that I received an email saying I would receive my money on it’s original date of 2/24.. how ever my sisters account showed a message that they are mailing her a check. That was issues on 2/19z

See I don’t have time to be waiting for a check in the mail at all like I have been depositing into the same account for over a decade
And everytime I call turbo tax and ask are they suppose to be mailing them they say no and apologize for the rep saying so
