Something must have gone wrong with your e-file. Either you did not actually go all the way through to the big orange button that said "Transmit Return Now" and complete the process, or your tax return was rejected and you did not notice or follow up.
Go back to your account. Click on Add a state so you can get back in--you are not really going to add a state, but that will get you in.
Either go back to the FILE section and e-file it, or print, sign and mail it. If you are getting a refund there is no penalty for filing late. if you owe tax due, then expect a bill for the penalty/interest you owe
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return.
