The IRS does not begin accepting returns until Jan. 28th. Your return will sit in the TurboTax servers until then. You should get an accepted or rejected status a few days after Jan. 28.

I took an RMD in December 2024, money deposited on January 3rd 2025 but never received a 1099R. How do I prove that I did take the RMD when I never received the paperwork?
