Update from this original post, we filed our 2019 on Feb 16, we were garnished /offset due to student loan defaults, so we never got our tax refund obviously, as of today 5/12/20 the department of treasury sent us a check of our offset back, and another check of what they garnished from my husbands payroll, so it’s not only for March 13 and after, so you’ll get it, be patient!!!

Basically if they didn't take your money on or before 3/5/2020 u get a refund

This is false I just called they said my tax offset refund posted on feb 28 and I’m not eligible for the cares act for the tax refund, just got me heated all over again smh
The refund pertains to people who’s offsets posted to the department of education account on or after March 5th. Regardless of the date they were intercepted.

Update: I got my refunds today! One check for federal and one check for state! Waiting was so hard but I’m happy it’s over now.
I got my refund check today! Praise be Sweet Baby Jesus!! What a huge help this will be since Fl unemployment isnt paying benefits! Mine was "paid" March 11- so maybe they are accepting dates close to mar 13! good luck everyone!
How do i find out what address they have on file will they use my address for my 2020 taxes
