How do I know if NY efile was processed? The downloaded software re-directs to the website. I submitted, but received no confirm. Is the status stored in my account?

I filed an extension so those links do not help.  They are only for returns.  When I filed the extension I scheduled a payment for tax day.  How do I know if that has been setup?  I got no email confirmation.  Can I assume it did NOT goo through?  I am really wishing I had just filed the extension through the NY State website instead.  I will do that now, but can not afford to accidentally pay them twice.
