I filed an amended return and am owed money. When will I receive it? How can I track it?

Normally amended returns take 16 weeks (4 months) to process. 3 weeks after filing you can check an amended return here.

Starting for 2022, they might do Direct Deposit if you entered your bank info. Or they will mail you a check.

The IRS is currently saying that it is taking more than 20 weeks to process an amended return. There is a notice saying that at the link that VolvoGirl and Critter-3 posted.
