I filed already but forgot to add a dependent to my file what can I do

can I still add a dependent even though I filed my taxes already

You could but you would have to file an amended return.  You need to wait until you receive the refund from your original return.  Amended returns don't catch up with and replace an original return.  The amended return has to be filed on paper and mailed and it takes the IRS 6-12 weeks to process it.
