My friend did redeem their offer. It's been 45 days but I never received an option to select a company.

By "unsuccessful" do you mean that you were unable to reach someone by phone?
Yes, someone called me back but I couldn't understand them.

I did contact the Help Center. Someone did call me back. I was on hold for about 10 minutes then was disconnected. I am learning from the turbo tax discussion forum that unfortunately a lot of people don't receive the gift cards.
I would suggest reaching back out, as only the customer support specialist can verify the offer by phone.
