The IRS has not given TurboTax any official guidance as to when stimulus payments for every taxpayer will be released. As long as you provided your direct deposit information/card information or mailing address information, you will receive the stimulus when it is released to you (as long as you otherwise qualify for it).

 

The IRS rolled out the "Get My Payment" tool here. According to IRS.gov, you can use the "Get My Payment" application to:

  • Check your payment status
  • Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
  • Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if the IRS doesn't  have your direct deposit information and if they haven't sent your payment yet.
  • Receive paper check payments: If you moved since you last filed, let us know your new mailing address.

 

According to the IRS FAQs:

 

Get My Payment will display one of the following payment statuses:

 

1. Payment Status (one of two statuses) –

  • A payment has been processed, a payment date is available, and payment is to be sent either by direct deposit or mail.
  • You are eligible, but a payment has not been processed and a payment date is not available.

2. Need More Information – You are eligible for a payment, but we do not have your direct deposit information. You will be given the opportunity to provide your bank information once you have properly verified your identity. Direct Deposit is the fastest way to get your EIP.

 

3. Payment Status Not Available – We cannot determine your eligibility for a payment at this time. For example, this could mean:

  • You are required to file a tax return, but:
    • We haven't finished processing your 2019 return
    • The application doesn't yet have your data; we’re working on adding more data to allow more people to use it.
  • You don't usually file a return, and:
    • You used Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here but we haven’t processed your entry yet
    • You receive an SSA or RRB Form 1099 or SSI or VA benefits; information has not been loaded onto our systems yet for people who don’t normally file a tax return.
  • You’re not eligible for a payment (see Eligibility).

 

If a payment date is not provided, updates to your payment status are made no more than once per day.

This is ridiculous I have used Turbo Tax for years this will be my last year. I don't know what you all did concerning the information for these stimulus checks but something is not right. I have four grandkids that I'm raising and I need-my stimulus check. I'm not working because I have a underlying condition that puts me at risk for the Corna viruse. I need food I need to pay my rent I cant even get information from Irs. Everytime I put my information in it locks me out I know my information is correct and it continues to lock me out. I need answers and I'm getting nowhere very frustrating 😡😡😡😡

My bank information and address have been the same since the 2018 tax filing. I got a refund in 2018 and payed in for 2019 but the IRS keeps saying I'm giving them the wrong information somewhere. I'm very frustrated. I can't call the IRS because they are closed. What should I do? By the way I do qualify for the stimulus check.

@Sexyval10  - here are some hints to avoid the lockout

 

social security number must have the dashes included XXX-XX-XXXX

date must have leading zeros if necessary (e,.g. April is "04" not "4')

Same thing keeps happening to me. The IRS really need some people available to talk to!!!

Just letting you know, we did our taxes with TT and got the advance on the turbo card. When I heard that they weren't depositing into the turbo card if you got an advance I went on the IRS page and updated my routing # and I used the one on my turbo card. It took forever but finally I got a date that it was going to deposit the 30th. I just checked my balance and it's on there! Woohoo thank God! Hope this helps someone out there that's worrying to feel better. Stay safe out there!

You also need to spell everything exactly as you did on your taxes. If you used abbreviations then that's what you need to use. I hope this helps. Stay safe!

The IRS said my deposit was supposed to be today too my Turbo Tax Debit Card but my balance is still zero and there isn't a way to talk to someone about if there is a pending deposit or not for my 2nd stimulus. How do I find out if Turbo Tax got it and when if it did get deposited to my Turbo Card can I expect it? I got bills to pay.

I have attempted to use the IRS - GET MY PAYMENT tool ever since it has been made available. It will not accept my ITIN or my SS number. I have a Turbo Tax Debit card which I have paid my taxes and received refunds for the past four + years. I received the $1200 Stimulus payment on 15 April 2020. I haven't received the $600 payment. I need that payment as I live only on my Social Security. This is really messed up.

What is going on with you people????? I keep getting messages emails texts saying Turbo Tax has my stimulus check. I have filed my taxes with turbo for years. I have not changed my bank or account number. They want me to send the banking information or I will not get my stimulus check. I am sorry maybe they put in the wrong banking numbers. But I REFUSE to reply and give them my banking information. As a matter of fact I WILL NEVER USE TURBO TAX AGAIN!!!! This is not RIGHT. Anyone else having an issue like this. All my tax returns have been direct deposited and my 1st stimulus check was deposited directly into my account. WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN MY ACCOUNT DOES NOT EXIST. I will gladly report Turbo Tax to IRS or whomever. This is physically and mentally exhausting

I am having the same problem I think it is a SCAM They won't give me my stimulus check either they say my account doesnt exist. I am to scared to give out my banking information again

TurboTax does not hold stimulus payments.  For more information on this, you will need to reach out directly to the IRS.  To do this, please follow the steps below to get to a live agent: 

 

IRS: 800-829-1040  

Hours: 7 AM - 7 PM, local time 

Monday-Friday

  • Listen to each menu before making the selection.
  • First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
  • Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
  • Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
  • Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".  
  • Then press 3 "for all other questions."
  • Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.
