I applied 16 tax refund to 17 taxes thinking I'd owe money. I ended up not owing money, but I'm not seeing record of where it's applied. Will I receive it back this year?

Yes, you will get it back but only if you entered it on your 2017 Taxes. To do so:
- Log into the software and select the blue button Take me to my return
- Select Federal from the left side bar
- Then select Deductions & Credits from the categories along the top of the software
- Scroll down and select Show more next to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
- Next select Revisit/Start next to the Other Income Taxes
- Answer Yes to enter your Last year's refund to apply to this year's taxes
- Under 2016 Refund Applied to 2017 click start next to 2016 refund applied to 2017 federal taxes
- Make sure you entered your last year taxes that you applied to this year, so that you get credit.
